September 2001, from serving Metropolitan Police
Constable
"I have now completed six years in the Metropolitan
Police Service. I was the subject of a serious
complaint at the end of 1999. The whole situation
left me feeling very disillusioned and I seriously
contemplated resigning from the Metropolitan Police
Service.
I was fortunate enough to have had the support
of Mr Michael about half way through the complaint
investigation process. He remained as my support
worker throughout the complaint investigation
procedure. The allegation against me was subsequently
unsubstantiated.
I wish to put it on record that had it not been
for the level of support and encouragement I received
from Mr Michael, I would not still be in a profession
which is very dear to me. Mr Michael deserves
credit and acknowledgement for his hard work.
He is a great asset to the Metropolitan
Police Service and the Black Police Association."
